I’ve been making my coffee at home regularly now for the last year, as I kept being disappointed by the coffee I ordered out. A few months ago, I woke up and went to make my regular coffee but found that the machine had died overnight. A and I decided to stop in at Lot Six Zero in Innaloo for our caffeine fix, before heading onwards to Harvey Norman to pick up a new machine.
Lot Six Zero is open for breakfast and lunch, and has a varied food menu available, including gluten and diary free options. For coffee, there are two Rubra blends available – the house blend or single origin (which changes weekly).
We ordered two coffees made with the house blend, which I was happy to find had a strong flavour and was exceptionally well made. This coffee did not disappoint.
A and I both ordered our food from the Specials board. A opted for an apple muffin, which was served warm with fresh strawberries and butter on the side.
I ordered the breaky bagel with bacon, scrambled egg, relish and spinach ($14). I loved that the bagel was soft, slightly charred and had a few flakes of sea salt. The amount of bacon was very generous and the ingredients used were really fresh. This bagel was fantastic and I wish it were on the regular menu!
The venue itself is relaxed and on the weekday morning we went, it was easy to get a table. In a way, I’m glad the coffee machine broke that morning as I was really impressed with our breakfast and coffee at Lot Six Zero. We will be back!
