Roza’s Gourmet Sauces are made with 100% natural ingredients and every product is preservative and gluten free (plus there are also lots of vegan, dairy free and sugar free options!). Roza’s Gourmet Sauces also feature natural sweeteners (like bush honey instead of processed sugar) and free-range eggs. There are over 38 products available, including mayonnaises, spicy sauces, pestos, mustards, chutneys and dips.
Roza’s Gourmet Sauces began in the Queensland kitchen of Roza Robertson in 1991. It didn’t take long for Roza’s sauces to become a burgeoning business which has now attracted the interest of major national and international retailers, including Thomas Dux Grocer, David Jones Food Halls and a retailer in Singapore.
Before Christmas, I was lucky enough to receive a sample pack of Roza’s Gourmet Sauces. Within the pack I was provided the Dairy Free Pesto, the Smokey Mayonnaise and the Rémoulade – three sauces that I’ve since fallen in love with.
The Dairy Free Pesto has been A and I’s favourite of the lot. We add it to our steak, which has now become a favourite condiment for both of us. The dairy free pesto is made from freshly picked basil leaves and smoked almonds and you can taste the freshness within the jar. The amount of flavour this pesto has is amazing. An added bonus is that this pesto is vegan and is 100% natural. We also like to use it as a dip too! (RRP – $8.90 250ml Jar).
We have also enjoyed the Smokey Mayonnaise, made with whole egg and bush honey as the base, and then smoked paprika, hickory smoke flavour, fresh garlic, lemon juice and spices. The added bonus is that this mayo is gluten and dairy free. We add this mayo as a side to our oven baked chips as well as our home-made BLTs. The smokey flavour is a winning combination with bacon! (RRP – $8.90 250ml Jar).
The Rémoulade sauce is similar to tartare sauce and it provides a delicious tang to seafood dishes. It’s made with honey mayo, fresh tarragon, chervil, fresh shallots and cornichons, making it dairy and gluten free.
At Christmas lunch, our family used this rémoulade as the condiment to our prawns and we also add a dollop on the side when we eat any seafood dishes. It is a delicious match! (RRP – $8.90 250ml Jar)
There are lots of other great variations of the products available on their online store. The products will be delivered with reusable ice packs and delivery only ranges from 1 – 3 working days. However if you prefer to buy it in store, I’ve noticed that Farmer Jacks in Subiaco stocks a few of the products. I’m hoping that the stockists list on the Roza’s Gourmet Sauces website is updated soon to show stockists in WA.
I will definitely be buying more of Roza’s Gourmet Sauces in the future. I’m looking forward to trying the Blue Cheese Dressing and Wasabi Sichuan Mayonnaise!
